DROP is a reaction game. There are no accounts and no sign-in. This page describes everything the game stores, in plain terms.
What DROP stores
- Your initials — the three characters you choose. They appear on public leaderboards. They are not verified and do not need to be your real name.
- Your scores — your average reaction time, and the per-round times that make it up, so a run can be checked for plausibility.
- A random device ID — generated in your browser the first time you play and kept in your browser's local storage. It exists so the leaderboard keeps one best score per player and can show you your own row. It is a random string. It is not linked to your name, email, phone, or any account.
- Local preferences — your chosen ball, your streak, and whether you have seen the tutorial. These stay in your browser and are not sent anywhere.
What DROP does not store
No names, no email addresses, no passwords, no phone numbers, no location, no contacts, no photos. There is no sign-in, so there is no account to attach anything to.
Where it is stored
Scores and initials are stored on Cloudflare, which hosts this site and its database. Cloudflare operates servers worldwide, so this data may be processed outside your country. Cloudflare also processes technical request information such as IP addresses in the ordinary course of serving and protecting the site.
Analytics
DROP may use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookie-free and does not fingerprint visitors. It reports aggregate figures such as page views and referrers. It does not identify individual people.
Advertising
DROP shows occasional ads to stay free. Once approved, ads may be served by Google AdSense.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies and similar device identifiers to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other sites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and others.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising at google.com/settings/ads, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info/choices.
- Google's own practices are described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Children
DROP is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Your choices
Clearing this site's data in your browser removes your device ID, your initials and your local preferences. The next time you play you are a new player.
Scores already posted to a leaderboard are anonymous — they carry only initials and a random ID — so once your device ID is cleared there is no way to trace a score back to you, including for us. If you want a specific score removed before then, email privacy@drop540.com with the initials and the score.
